Warren Hunting Smith was a man whose legacy shall never be forgotten.  Born right here in Geneva, New York, his legacy never seemed to stray too far from home.  He was a man full of ambition and excellence, and eventually becoming known as “the man whose name is on the library.”  A Yale graduate, Warren Hunting Smith became a Trustee of the Colleges and contributed greatly to the funding of the new library built in 1976.  Mr. Smith: the grandnephew of the founder of William Smith College and a true Genevan, who better to have accepted the responsibility for writing the history of Geneva’s beloved colleges?
